Although I’m writing this editorial in the two weeks between the POCI/GTOAA Co-Vention and the Ames Performance Pontiac Tri-Power Nationals, you’re reading it in September, after the summer car-show season has roared its last exhaust fumes and wound down to the welcome of fall.
Like some of our readers, High Performance Pontiac’s summer revolves around four big all-Pontiac car shows: the aforementioned and the Trans Am Nationals. Combined, these shows give HPP staff and contributors a chance to interface with our Pontiac brethren, and choose which cars will be lucky enough to become features in the magazine. Take the 2013 POCI/GTOAA Co-Vention, for example. Among the organizations’ concours displays, popular-vote vehicles, and road-warrior parking, there were over 1,000 Pontiacs to gaze upon with lust. Here’s a sneak peak at the ones we photographed for upcoming issues.
