Pontiac hobbyist, author, and artist Eric White produced this stunning print of John Sawruk's 1971-1/2 GT-37 and presented it to John shortly before he passed away. "As a friend of John and Marge Sawruk, John's recent passing has had a personal affect on me," Eric told HPP. "[I was honored that] Marge had my print matted and framed and on respectful display next to John's coffin at both the visitation and funeral mass."
With Marge's consent, Eric is offering the image to the public to raise funds for a memorial donation in John's name to kidney cancer research at the University of Michigan and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center in NYC.
Signed by Eric and dated, each 19x13-inch print (on 100# Strathmore stock) will have $25 of its $35 (+$6 shipping) purchase price donated to the cancer research organizations, in John Sawruk's name. "This will be the only public offering of this illustration," Eric said.
