2005 GTOAA International Meet
This documented Tri-Power four-speed '65 GTO was purchased by Motor Trend magazine (Petersen Publishing) and George Hurst. It was the first GTO fitted with Hurst wheels and was used for early press events to introduce those wheels. Another was built just like it and both were given away at the Motor Trend Riverside 500. One went to the winner, Dan Gurney, and the other to a ticket-holding fan. While Gurney's car is rumored to have been crushed, this one has survived, is not restored, and currently has just 20,000 miles on it. View Related Article
