Here is the last '63 Super Duty Catalina built. This Grenadier Red model was ordered for racer Johnny Mauro as a backdoor effort to compete in the Pikes Peak Hillclimb after the GM racing ban was in place. It features the NASCAR single four-barrel version of the venerable SD 421 engine, but was first built as an H.O. car, and then Pontiac installed the SD powerplant and aluminum front end and bumpers. The priceless Cat was restored in 2004 and is owned by Floyd Garrett. The '61 Catalina hardtop sports an SD 389 368-horse Tri-Power engine, a four-speed trans, and 4.30 gears. It also has rare aluminum bumpers front and rear, and has only 1,300 miles on it.

The No. 20 '60 race car of Marvin Panch won the '61 Daytona 500.
