Sponsors
This Year's event was well received thanks to perfect weather and great sponsors, such as YearOne and Ames Performance Engineering, who gave goodie-bag packages to all participants. RockAuto.com, SPA Automotive Supply (NAPA), Cold Stone Creamery, Saratoga Race Course, Target, Walmart, Sam's Club, and Special Olympics Saratoga provided raffle and door prizes.
Pepsi distributors of Latham donated bottled water, while Saratoga grocers Price Chopper and Hannaford Brothers donated hot-dog buns and trimmings. Saratoga Race Course donated horse-racing theme caps and T-shirts.
There were 21 sponsored 8x12-inch engraved oval awards divided among the four generations of Firebirds. The pewter and gold ovals were awarded on the basis of judges' top scores after trophy winners. Award sponsors included Saratoga Auto Museum, Saratoga National Bank and Trust, Charles Schwab & Co. of Albany, Express Auto Repair of Clifton Park, Pizza Time Saratoga, Mohr's Service Center of Saratoga, Painting by Ken of Schenectady, Baker's Auto Service Center of Ballston Spa, DeLacey Massage Therapy of Schenectady, David Nigriny Electrical Contractor of Clifton Park, Joseph Zeek Licensed Real Estate Associate, and Medberry Barber Shop of Ballston Spa. Nonaward sponsors included Northwind Graphics of Malta, Want Ad Digest, and Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.
