 Phil Brinkly was showing his...  Phil Brinkly was showing his '29 Pontiac, which he finished about two months ago. He saved the car from a salvage yard, where it was to be crushed 15 years ago. The vehicle started out as a two-door sedan, but during World War II, it was cut in half and made into a pickup. This Pontiac features a '29 frame and body, a '68 Pontiac V-8, Turbo 350 transmission and a '68 GTO Safe-T-Track rearend. "It's basically built the way it would be in the '60s," Brinkley said, "with thin tires and a suicide front end. |
