Walt and Linda Hollifield's '69 GTO's show placard says it's, "The only R/A-V GTO built under contract from Pontiac Engineering for NHRA drag racing, January 1970, built by Schornack at his shop, Royal Automotive. Not a clone, this is the original R/A-V developed for Pontiac Engineering and was the only R/A-V to be successful at the dragstrip." The Espresso Brown and Hurst Gold GTO features an experimental 0.060 over 428 R/A-V engine, the original Tom Nell-built Turbo 400 trans and 2,000 stall converter, a 4.11-geared 10-bolt rear and just 19,000 miles on its odometer.  Douglas Gauerke's '64 Tempest...  Douglas Gauerke's '64 Tempest has been very tastefully modified and was awarded First Place in the Super Modified All Models Class '64-'74.  These '66 and '67 Goats were...  These '66 and '67 Goats were stand-outs on the show field.  Sure it's a very rare '69...  Sure it's a very rare '69 Judge convertible in a great color. But what makes this Pontiac even more interesting is its bench seat and column-shifted automatic!  Arnie Beswick still enjoys...  Arnie Beswick still enjoys signing autographs for adoring fans.  LS2 power, a 4L65E transmission...  LS2 power, a 4L65E transmission and '05 GTO 17-inch wheels and tires differentiate Victor Nettle's '70 GTO from the stockers.  Dan Elder's '04 GTO was striking...  Dan Elder's '04 GTO was striking in Pulse Red with a full body kit. Obviously, the show judges agreed, awarding it First Place in the Super Modified All Models '04-'06 class.  Late-model GTOs took over...  Late-model GTOs took over the back lot of the hotel with a very impressive display. It included not only clean stockers, but also many tastefully modified ones.  Doug Pulskamp does a burnout...  Doug Pulskamp does a burnout in his '70 LeMans prior to making a time shot at National Trail Raceway. Five minutes later, the race was rained out.  Darryl Davidson's Starlight...  Darryl Davidson's Starlight Black '71 GTO drew quite a few compliments at the event.
