There were a few vintage race... There were a few vintage race cars at the event as well, including Big Iron II, a '70 Starlight Black R/A-IV four-speed Judge driven by Rod Kister, owned by Robert Kramer and sponsored by Kramer Motors in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. It was raced in NHRA Division 5 back in the day and was capable of mid 12s at high altitude. The car was never street driven and currently shows just 29 miles on the odometer. Parts to race it were sourced from Milt Schornack in 1970. Advice on the restoration came from Schornack and Walt Hollifield, and parts to restore it were sourced from Performance Years. |

Saturday brought with it the Popular Vote show, and the parking lot bristled with GTOs new and old, all shined up for spectator and participant inspection. It was an awe-inspiring sight to see all these Goats completely surrounding the host hotel. That evening, the awards ceremony put the final punctuation on the action-packed national GTO event.
