Another aspect of this event not often realized is that it's a great place to check out the latest finished projects, such as fresh restos, modifieds, and race cars. For instance, Nunzi Romano debuted his '65 GTO with Ram Air VII power that you read about in the May '08 issue. Todd Levesque, whose '00 T/A was on the cover of the Dec. '08 issue, came from Boston just to get his Pontiac photographed for HPP and to compete in the show. Ken Colacino brought out his vintage '62 SD race car Big Thunder, and Michael Spatola's Starlight Black R/A-III '69 Judge was fresh out of restoration. Show-goers went nuts over all four of them.
Is this the most fun you can have in your Pontiac and still make it home for dinner after a day of racing and showing? Come out and participate to find out. Even if your Pontiac isn't done yet, spectators are always welcome.
The 2009 High Performance Pontiac Show And Go is scheduled for Saturday, June 20. Please remember, racers-mufflers are required. More info on this enduring event can be found at www.etownraceway.com.
