Best New Gen honors went to...
Best New Gen honors went to Kyle Spaulding's heavily and tastefully modified '99 Grand Am GT.
Though some of the same Pontiacs attend each year, there are always enough new ones to keep showgoers interested. If you think that your Pontiac can't compete and win because you are not a member of the host club or any club, think again. The event's organizers go to great lengths to level the show field and keep it interesting at the same time.
According to Tom, "Each year, we change the car show format so that the same cars don't win year after year after year in the same classes. In 2008, the show was peer-judged with the top 75 awarded. In 2009, there will be 18 classes, judged by Old Goat Club members. Club members' cars will not be in competition with the other cars."
A surprise for 2009 is the event date: Saturday, October 31. Yes-Halloween. All participants are welcome to attend in costume and there will be a costume contest. So come on out for some late autumn fun in the "Garden State" sun.
