This Bud's For You
If you're familiar with Pontiac's earliest days with NASCAR, you've likely heard the name Bud Moore. The Spartanburg, South Carolina-based engine builder worked with Pontiac/NASCAR legends Jack Smith and Cotton Owens, and was awarded the '61 NASCAR Mechanic of the Year Award.
Thanks to publisher Trish Yunick (Smokey's daughter) and author John Craft, Moore's biography, Bud Moore: Man and Machine, is now available from Carbon Press. Though Moore is better known for his years with Ford and Mercury, his years with Pontiac are included in the book, which makes it an interesting read for High Performance Pontiac and NASCAR fans.
