Trans Am fans, you’ve likely already heard of the Southern Trans Am Nationals (STARS), which is held annually in Fort Walton Beach/Pensacola, Florida. It has brought together Trans Ams as far away as Maryland, Ohio, and Texas to enjoy some of the best Southern-style Pontiac car shows of the year.
Now, STARS is open to all-year Pontiacs, including 5th Generation Trans Ams, which are invited and will have their own judging class.
“Since the demise of the Pontiac brand, all Pontiac owners need to band together,” Mark Parrett, the event’s promoter, says. “Whether you have a GTO, Grand Prix, Bonneville, Solstice, Catalina, or even a Grand Ville, Astre, or T1000, STARS invites you to come show off your Pontiac in the beautiful Florida panhandle.
This year’s show includes a special guest appearance by Ms. Trans Am, who will be signing autographs.
The three-day event will be held at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds from March 23-25. Entry fee is $60 pre-registered (includes limited-edition participant t-shirt); $50 (days of show), and $30 (Sunday only). The show will coincide with other car shows on the fairground site on the same date, but Pontiacs will not have to co-mingle when the park with other brands.)
