1968 Pontiac GTO - Mr. Gadget's Goat

Note the box on the driver's interior roof. It houses green and red shift lights as well as a buzzer to signal for a shift at the drag strip. The tach is mounted on the box just to the right. Think that an engineer thought this up? Well, let's see, the lights and tach are just above eye level so that you barely have to take your eyes off of the track to see them and the box is mounted through the same hole that was used to attach the original sun visor. There were no cuts made in the headliner and the box can be easily removed and replaced with the sun visor at any time. Pretty slick. View Related Article
