The automatic trans has a smaller diameter higher stall torque converter than found in the Monaro to improve the launch. The 6-speed has the same gearing as the Z06 Corvette, which is steeper than in the Monaro to achieve the same goal in the stick Goats. Note the twin cats and resonators in the exhaust, and the crossover, which is now solid so gases can't pass through, is instead used as a structural member for the pipes.

Independent rear suspension features semi-trailing arms and control links with gas-charged shocks and a direct-acting .63 stabilizer bar. Limited-slip with 3.46 gears and traction control are standard. Rear brake rotors are 11.3 inches diameter. Here you can see the remainder of the true dual exhaust system, which employs different left and right mufflers to tune the sound.
