The automatic trans has a smaller diameter higher stall torque converter than found in the Monaro to improve the launch. The 6-speed has the same gearing as the Z06 Corvette, which is steeper than in the Monaro to achieve the same goal in the stick Goats. Note the twin cats and resonators in the exhaust, and the crossover, which is now solid so gases can't pass through, is instead used as a structural member for the pipes. View Related Article
