With its Radir Wheels and Hurst cheater slicks, the Big Stinker looks just as it did when raced during the ’64 season. One detail they did not replicate was the unique lift-bar rear suspension system that Tyree had engineered and raced. A stock rear suspension system was re-installed as the car was now being used only for show. Tyree caught some Ford engineers peaking under his car and soon found that a near-identical version of his suspension design appeared under the ’64 Thunderbolts. Coincidence? Tyree doesn’t think so.
