Other than the decal on the trunk lid, from this view nothing immediately separates the GTO from a standard Ventura. It did receive a 0.562-inch-thick rear stabilizer bar along with stiffer shocks at each corner. Factory literature states that a 2.73 gear ratio was used in conjunction with an automatic transmission. But it appears the '74 GTO received a 3.08 gearset. In addition, Rally IIs less trim rings were the only wheels available on the GTO. Although the trim rings were not included, they were still optional.
