Restoring A 1-of-751 '67 Ram Air GTO
The original carb was replaced in 1971 because it was acting up, according to the DeMontes. This carb features a 7037263 code, which is correct for a manual trans R/A or H.O. with A.I.R.--7027263 is correct for this non-A.I.R. car. Replacement carbs were stamped in this manner--vertically near the back of the main body. The originals had a disc with the code stamped into it placed further forward on the main body of the carb above the idle speed screw. The Julian date code on this carb is "1810", which translates to the 181st day of 1970. View Related Article
