1970 Pontiac Trans Am
|
Dechromed 15x7-inch Rally IIs were standard equipment. The JW-code wheels on this particular Trans Am were originally adorned with trim rings, a $21 option. Owner Steve Schappaugh chose to omit them during the restoration. The F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GT tires are reproductions. A complete exhaust system from Gardner Exhaust bellows the stock-sounding note. Power-assist brakes were standard equipment on the Trans Am, and it used discs up front and drums out back. The rear axle remained leaf-sprung. A 1.25-inch-diameter-front and 0.875-inch-rear swaybar limit body roll in the turns. The rear axle houses a 3.31:1 gear set. View Related Article
