Rods: Stock Pontiac with SPS rod bolts
Pistons: Forged Sealed Power 0.030 over 455
Rings: Mahle chrome moly, file-fit
Oil Pump: Melling 60-psi blueprinted
Main Bearings: Sealed Power, thrust bearing shims for 455 crank by Ken Keefer
Cam: Summit 282/292-deg-duration 0.465/0.488 lift, 114-deg LSA
Heads: Pontiac 7K3 mild porting and bowl work by owner, exhaust crossovers filled with molten aluminum, valve job, hardened exhaust valve seats, new seals
Valves: SS 2.11/1.77
Valvetrain: Dual valvesprings, 1.5:1 ratio rockers, poly locks on 7⁄16-in studs
Compression: 9.5:1
Intake: Edelbrock Torker, port and plenum match by owner
Ignition: ACCEL Street Billet distributor, Mallory high-output coil, ACCEL Pro wires
Carb: Rebuilt Quadrajet from a ’70 GTO
Headers: Hooker
Exhaust: Dual with turbo mufflers
Front Suspension: Eibach comp springs, KYB gas shocks, 1-in front swaybar, poly bushings, Moog ball joints, disc brake swap, all installed by owner
Rear Suspension: ’81 WS-6 Trans Am springs, KYB gas shocks, poly bushings
Transmission: Muncie M20 wide-ratio, rebuilt by owner
Clutch: 11-in Zoom and pressure plate, Corvette throwout bearing arm and linkage
Rear: 3.23:1 Pontiac 8.2-in with new bearings and seals, stock drum brakes

Interior:

  • Pearl white seat and door panel upholstery from Ames and YearOne, installed by me;
  • Carpeting, headliner, dashpad, new knobs, and switches from YearOne and installed by me
  • Ssnake Oyl restored seatbelts and retractors

Electrical:

  • All wiring and connectors refurbished and wrapped with correct friction tape by me

Paint and body:

  • Body repair, dent removal using heat-shrinking methods to minimize filler, Dupont high-build etching primer, high-build primer and sealer, block sanded by me
  • Original quarter-panels, cowl, roof, doors, trunk pan and fender sheetmetal; full-length floorpans welded in by me
  • Dupont basecoat/clearcoat black polyurethane by me
  • New Dynacorn 400 hood painted to match by Jack’s Paint and Body in Ft. Myers, May 2012, as a contribution to the engine-build support
