It’s about that time again: time for another issue of your favorite Pontiac magazine. The March 2013 issue of High Performance Pontiac will be on shelves tomorrow, so prepare yourselves for another month of awesome and beautiful Pontiacs.

This month, you can read all about the exclusive last interview with Smokey and the Bandit film director Hal Needham, who passed away earlier this year, as well as our coverage of the 2013 Bandit Run. (Speaking of Mr. Needham, check out the video below! There is an awesome television show on Discovery tonight called Part 2 of “Fast N’ Loud Meets the Bandit.”)

We also show you a beautiful and gracefully-aging 1994 25th Anniversary Trans Am, which was found at auction. Dean Jeffries’ Monkeemobile No. 1 also appears on our pages. For those of you who aren’t familiar, the Monkeemobile is actually one of two ’66 GTOs which were heavily modified by Jeffries for the original TV series and 1997 reunion special Hey, Hey, It’s the Monkees. An elusive ’66 GTO equipped with Pontiac’s first factory-installed Ram Air package is also included in this issue.

In tech, you can look forward to following along as we detail Scott Tiemann’s personal ’65 GTO Tri-Power 389 engine and also read about our installation of a factory-correct reproduction wiring harness into a second-gen Trans Am.

To read about all of this and much more, make sure you pick up your March 2014 issue of High Performance Pontiac this week and let us know what you think!
