Obviously built as a sleeper, Louis DeBiase's '78 GP retains its luxo-cruiser look on the outside, while under the skin lurks a 455 with power to spare. The 33-year-old Trumbull, Conn.-based plumber has been racing for 15 years and likes nothing more than burning rubber in this GP and racing motorcycles. He demonstrated the former technique on the first run down the strip before swapping to cheaters. The street tires fried almost the length of the track.

2000 GTX Ram Air

At the tender age of 19, John Pawlowski owns one of the wildest GPs ever to come down the pike. As John recalls, "Back when SLP first released the GTX, I saw one at a car show and liked it. I later went to the dealer with a friend and fell in love with car. I had to have it. Mine is babied. It's garage-kept and stays in during the winter. So far, it has taken First place in a few car shows as well." It would seem that this Bensalem, Pa. native has a few years of racing and showin' ahead of him and he's not even out of school yet.
