Owner Bio: Pete HanwayPete Hanway, from Lewisburg, West Virginia, is another shootout contestant who has lived an interesting life. From 1972 to 1980, he built big-block powered jet boats. From '82-90 he performed restorations on GM vehicles. And most recently, he builds custom houses. Pete owned a '62 Super Duty 421 back in the 1960s. He purchased this Grand Prix in 1982, completed its restoration nine years later, and currently enjoys racing it and driving it to area shows. The New Port Richey, Florida resident has spent 39 years on the racetrack--20 in an NHRA stock class and always with a Pontiac. This Goat is an exact clone of the '64 GTO that he bought in November 1963. His folks weren't crazy about the more intense induction options, so his Goat was built with a single 4-barrel. Naturally, dual AFBs and headers were the first mods to his first GTO.
