Mountain State Mayhem, Part 3: Cookin' Class Races

OWNER BIO
56-year-old Bill Hoy is into all of the cool stuff that guys love--NASCAR, hunting, fishing, bowling, etc., etc., so it's no surprise that he's into drag racing also. The Marmet, West Virginia resident has been a track maven for 35 years now, no doubt abusing his '65 Goat, '66 Goat, '76 and '78 GP, and '81 Firebird in the process. This '68 Bird was purchased to fit into NHRA and IHRA classes, and Bill's driver, Jack Treola, has finished well in NHRA and IHRA competition over the years. They run E S/A with a 12 flat index and have been down to 11.07--.93 under. NHRA's Division 3 championship went to this little white Firebird in 1994!
