Pontiac Pavement Pounders Shootout - Norwalk Raceway Park Part 3

Owner Bio: Edward Sobczyk
What's so special about Edward's '68 LeMans? "I got it 15 years ago and transformed it from a 14-second car to a low 11-second car with the help of family and friends," he tells HPP. "Working on cars with my dad since I was 10, mainly Pontiacs, has turned into a family auto business that specializes in the repair and maintenance of classic and musclecars." The 19-year veteran racer fondly recalls, "I was told by the tech guy at Milan to slow it down. Low 11s was too fast to go without a rollbar. At that moment, it finally sunk in how quick the car actually had gotten. Of course, the problem is now fixed as it has a bar and seatbelts." Although at 37 years old, Edward has owned plenty of other Pontiacs over the years, he currently has a '68 Grand Prix as a bookend to his LeMans.
