Pontiac Pavement Pounders Shootout - Norwalk Raceway Park Part 4

Owner Bio: Butch Kale

A 21-year race veteran, Butch had won several B.O.P. racing events in his '64 GTO, but his favorites were "winning B.O.P. race at Bristol, Tennessee in 2002 and B.O.P. at Farmington, North Carolina in 2004." Besides its winning ways, the 59-year-old retired truck driver liked his GTO so much because "The car has a drag race history that originates on the West Coast 30 years ago," When this '64 GTO was totaled, then-owner Mike Riola and his son, James, turned their wrecked family car into racecar. Many years later in 1992, Butch bought the GTO sight unseen out of California. He has also owned a '65 GTO street car, a '65 Catalina, and a '68 Firebird drag car. Butch is pictured here (right) with his good friend Larry Snyder.
