Owner Bio: Joe Taylor
Joe, a 52-year-old CAD systems administrator, has been racing for 20-plus years. He bought his '66 GTO in 2004 as a "basket case." It's special to him: "My father would take the family and a few of the neighborhood kids to the track on Friday nights all summer long. I have 8mm home movies and photos of Midwest racetracks back to the '50s. I got my start racing on the street in the early '70s, so it's no wonder I race a GTO," he says. His favorite moment racing is winning the runner-up spot at the 2001 Goodguys Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. This '66 GTO is Joe's only Pontiac, but he's also owned an '80 Sunbird.
