Jerry Lendzion
Jerry, a 63-year-old retired millwright for General Motors (shown on left with crew chief Jeff Boucier), has been racing for 46 years. He purchased the shell of a ’69 Firebird in 1996 for $1 because he “wanted to build a drag car.” It’s special to him because “It was a life-sobering three-year project for personal satisfaction.” His favorite moment in it was its first street-legal cruise. In addition to his Firebird, Jerry owns a ’72 LeMans, which he uses on the street and the strip.

| Run Notes: 1) Burn out, too much water, low tire temp; 2) Good burnout, good launch, car went straight; 3) Felt sweet, track was excellent; 4) More data, more fun. |
