2b. FAST recommends setting the fuel pressure for its EZ-EFI system at 43 psi for normal operation. With the key in the ignition switch, we rotate it to the On position and listen for the fuel system to pressurize. We then check the pressure on the regulator and adjust as necessary, using a 3⁄16-inch hex-head wrench for the regulator-adjustment screw and a 9⁄16-inch wrench for the lock nut. The fuel pump will quit running after a few seconds, so bypassing the fuel-pump relay is required, and that’s outlined in the instructions.
