We used the Mustang brand chassis dyno at H.S. Automotive in Omaha, Nebraska, to determine engine output before and after the EZ-EFI install. The Quadrajet had its fuel circuits modified to provide maximum performance. During the baseline test the 455 peaked at 282 hp and 336 lb-ft at the rear tires. The addition of the EZ-EFI system improved throttle response and drivability at every point, and on a subsequent dyno session, it peaked at 284 rwhp and 337 rwtq, providing near-equal average numbers.
