Holley carburetors use a small linkage to connect the primary and secondary throttle shafts. On the original HP, it consists of a small length of round bar bent to a specific degree, which controls the timing and rate it reaches full throttle. The Ultra HP uses a threaded rod constructed of stainless steel to link the throttle shafts. It can be adjusted so the barrels open simultaneously or in any degree of progression.
