11 The new Sanden compressor was next to mount, but before lowering it into place, a 5⁄16x2.25-inch SHCS needed to be installed, as there’s no clearance to get it started once in the mount. Here’s where we needed nimble fingers and sharp eyes as we were using both standard and metric bolts. We learned the trick is to remember that if a bolt is threading into the compressor, use a metric thread. If a bolt is threading into part of the March brackets, go with a standard thread. Once the compressor was in place, the rear mount required an 0.80-inch spacer and the front mount used an M8x1.25x33mm SHCS.
