What is it?
ProSeries Four-Vane Vacuum Pump
Why you need it.
This "Pro Mod"-style pump is designed for large-displacement and forced-induction engines. It achieves a much greater vacuum sooner, flowing up to 150 percent more air volume at low rpm, achieving a total of 25 inches of vacuum. The rotor is keyed to the shaft, eliminating the potential for fastener failure, and it also utilizes sealed maintenance-free bearings. Combining a wideband air/fuel ratio meter ("Product Test: Innovate Motorsports LM-1 Air/Fuel Meter," HPP Oct. '04), a full-function datalogger, and tuning software, the MTS kit provides all the necessary tools to tune an EFI or carbureted motor. The Basic Kit utilizes a Bosch Wideband O2 sensor, the LM-1 air/fuel ratio meter, a software CD, a quick starter's guide, and all the cables and hardware. The second kit includes the AuxBox (LMA-3), which allows the user to capture, view, and analyze data across all six channels. A third kit includes the RPM Converter (LMA-2), enabling the conversion of a tachometer or inductive clamp output to a clean analog signal that can be logged in the LM-1.
