Most of the installation requires simply screwing in and/or bolting on the components, with self-aligning edges that fit into the grooves and lines of the factory body panels. RKSport's GTO Ram Air Hood (PN 09011100, $595) is a simple swap with the factory piece using the stock hardware, so we didn't bother to show that step. Even though the RKSport upgrade retains the factory hood lines, it instills a much more aggressive demeanor for the GTO, and the hoodscoops are open to provide cool air into the engine bay. If you so desire, you can purchase the GTO high-flow intake system for $320.95 to provide ram air for your LS1. All RKSport hoods are crafted from high-temp, hand-laid fiberglass for exceptional strength and durability.

The rear wing is probably the most challenging aspect of the install. It's an area that customers often have questions about, probably because they have to drill into the sheetmetal rather than use existing factory mounting holes. Fortunately, RKSport makes this part of the installation much simpler with a plastic drilling guide.

Follow along with our install photos, though, and you will see that installing an RKSport GTO Ground Effects Package (PN 09011000, $995) and three-piece GTO Rear Spoiler (PN 09011010, $425) is not all that difficult. In fact, it can be done in less than a weekend, not counting paintwork, by anyone with basic mechanical knowledge. Once you add these toppings to your plain-vanilla GTO, you'll surely have one sweet ride.
