When the leverage of a ratchet is required, the Socket Assist allows use of one that's not larger, but rather equal to or smaller than the socket drive size by offering sizes of 11/44 x 11/44, 11/44 x 31/48, and 31/48 x 31/48. The 11/44 or 31/48 square drive end that fits into the socket features a spring-loaded detent ball to secure it.
