Bassani offers most of its systems in either 304 stainless steel or the BX line of aluminized steel. The company also provides a choice of three different sound/performance levels, from Street Legal to Race Only. Bassani's recently developed true-dual x pipe system is now available for the LS1-powered Trans Ams and will soon be available for the twin-cat Fourth-Gen LT1 cars as well. Bassani uses louvered-core insulated mufflers (glass-pack style), each designed and fabricated specifically for a particular application, and all of its products are completely made in the U.S. All of its stainless exhaust components offer a lifetime warranty. The company doesn't sell direct to the consumer, so its Web site isn't developed for that purpose. However, it does provide a dealer locator with a mapping function.

The Super Turbo DynoMax system...
The Super Turbo DynoMax system for the LS1 F-bodies (Formula/Trans Am) is aluminized steel. Its race system (not pictured) uses a small bullet muffler and is designed specifically for maximum power and minimal back pressure. The system should be available now.

DynoMax is the performance exhaust division of Tenneco Automotive, a major supplier of domestic OEM exhaust systems. The DynoMax Web site lists a large number of systems and offers three muffler variations for F-body cars. There are sound clips on its Web site but they aren't connected to the specific vehicles. We've used DynoMax after-cat systems on project cars before. They fit and perform well at a reasonable price, and most of the company's after-cat systems have a lifetime warranty. The Web site has a dealer locator with a map function but doesn't sell direct.
