The A/C compressor, which would normally be reinstalled in this area when using the stock pulley system, is mounted low enough on the LS1 to hit the crossmember of the First-Gen Bird. To ensure that the stock front engine accessories can be retained, BRP moved the engine 1.5 inches forward on the mounts, as compared to what most other competitor's kits provide.
