The two steel sleeve inserts to the timing cover can be pulled out by hand. If they are stuck, a gentle tap on the joining line between the sleeve and cover usually frees them. If that doesn't work, crank pulley, balancer, and timing cover removal will be necessary to work the sleeves out from the back side. View Related Article
