2000 Trans Am WS6 - LS1 Power Plan - Pontiac Tech
The Comp 26921 dual springs feature Super Clean steel alloy material that meets stringent metallurgical standards for purity and tensile strength. Suitable for race applications, the dual valvesprings provide an extra measure of protection on high-lift applications over a single spring. The Comp dual springs feature an open-spring pressure of 400 pounds at 1.220-inch height, with 135 pounds seat pressure at 1.770-inch installed height. Stock LS1 springs are rated at 75 pounds of seat pressure and 250 pounds of open pressure, and only 0.525-inch lift. Since the camshaft selected will only measure out to 0.581/0.588-inch for intake and exhaust lift, we can rest assured that valve "bounce" or "float" won't raise its ugly head. View Related Article
