Scheduling issues led to a change of venue for the next round of dyno tests. The 449 Tri-Power Pontiac is now installed on the Super Flow 901 dyno at Michael's Racing Engines in Macedonia and awaits its tests. Baselines were recorded and corrected to the standard of 29.92 inches of mercury, 60 degrees F, and 0 (zero) humidity.

Bryan and Jeff Gulley tune the 449 between pulls. Through the course of the testing, jetting was richened from No. 68s in the center and end carbs to No. 70s in the center and No. 73s on the end carbs. Bryan also adjusted the timing from the initial setting of 36 degrees to 34 degrees and even tried 32 degrees. The engine liked 34 degrees the best.
