This picture reveals the different degrees of wear that can occur to the needle valve. Its seat rarely wears. The unit at left contains a Viton tip and is new and unused. All others are well-used rubber units that suffered the ravages of ethanol-blend fuel. Though difficult to discern in the picture, they are petrified and brittle.
