Pro touring has become the craze with classic cars. What's not to like? Modern looks and performance blended with unmistakable, classic American style. They're available in a large selection of sizes and styles ranging from as small as 18x7, 8, 9, 10, 12, or 15 inches all the way up to 22x8.5, 10, or 12 inches. They can be finished in polished with a polished lip or polished on satin. The designs also can accommodate large brake applications with caliper clearances ranging from 0.75-inch to 1.875-inch, for six-piston calipers. Performance Blend
Holley realizes that most car guys want to drive their high-
horsepower machines on the street. Because of this, it has added a couple of big boys to its Street HP carburetor line with the all-new 850-cfm (PN 0-82851) and 950-cfm (PN 082951) models. The Street HP line was developed to provide "great performance at a great price," and these big brothers follow that mission statement. They feature the Holley HP Series race-ready main body that has been calibrated for street/strip duty and features several vacuum ports for the PCV system and power brakes, and so on. Other features include mechanical secondaries, power valve blow out protection, non-stick gaskets, adjustable air bleeds, and a four-corner idle system. Classic 2 Current Fabrication now offers reproduction steel trunk pans for '61-'64 full-size Pontiacs. They're cut from 18-gauge steel with bead rolls like the originals. For easy welding, there is extra steel all the way around. They're made as a three-piece set for convenience and can be spot-welded together easily to form one large piece. Lunati has entered the LS dual-valvespring market with its Gold Valvespring Kit, which the company says costs approximately $50 less than its competitors. It claims that this comes at no cost in quality or performance, as the springs will accept intense 0.660-inch-lift cams, and the kit features retainers and locators CNC-machined from lightweight "wear-favorable" 4140 alloy steel, 7-degree locks, steel-jacketed Viton valve seals, and spring locators. This kit is a drop-in installation for many popular LS applications. Spring seat load is 153 lb/in at 1.810 inches installed height, and open load is 400 lb/in at 1.150 inches.
