"Black-flagged" is normally not a good thing. You're instructed to complete the remainder of your lap and then pit-in for consultation. It could mean one of two things: a corner worker has spotted a malfunction on your car he feels is unsafe and it needs to be looked at, or the most likely, you have been seen driving in a reckless manner. If you fail to obey this flag, you will be ejected from the track and possibly even the entire event. View Related Article
