In the colder parts of the world, corrosion from condensation build-up prematurely rots exhaust systems from the inside out, so one trick we learned long ago to significantly extend the life of an exhaust system is to drill small drain holes in the lowest points of the tailpipes, and lower rear parts of the mufflers.
