Melling effectively increases oil pressure of its high-pressure Nos. M-54F and 10541 offerings by incorporating a specific-pressure bypass valve, which features a special spring and cap nut. The 70-psi bypass assembly is at top, while the 50-psi bypass assembly is at bottom. Oil pressure at the in-dash gauge in a typical Pontiac V-8 is 80- and 60-psi, respectively. View Related Article
