Through the ’72 model year, the automatic-transmission shifter button (with floor-mounted shifter) contained a colorful Firebird logo in all Firebird models. In ’73 Pontiac specified a gold arrowhead logo for all its models, including the Firebird, and this ’74 Trans Am still has its original button. The Firebird logo reappeared for ’76 and was used throughout the remainder of Second-Gen production. View Related Article
