 We baselined with 30 weight break-in, then tested 0W-30, 10W-40 and finally 20W-50 oil, since we wanted to leave the 20W50 in the engine for future use. The thicker oil heats slower and allows for repeated dyno runs with less cool down time. The Mr. Gasket valve covers were removed for each oil change to aid in filling. It was quicker to remove the cover than pour seven quarts through a small hole.
