March Performance’s Revolver is the newest-style serpentine-conversion system from the company that first marketed them for the Pontiac V-8. The brackets and pulleys are constructed from 6061 T-6 billet aluminum, and are then powdercoated in your choice of clear, black, or black onyx, or show-quality chrome plating. According to the company, “Three separate idlers and an easy-to-use belt-tensioning tool guarantee the ultimate in belt-to-pulley contact area for no-slip operation.” Choose from a basic kit, which includes a Powermaster 105-amp alternator and Sanden A/C compressor, or a kit that also includes a GM Type 2 power-steering pump. Prices start at $1,674.75.
Classic Industries’ OER factory wheel coatings make your Pontiac wheel restoration a quick go-round. They’re available in Argent Silver and Charcoal Gray Metallic for Rally IIs; Daytona Gold or Simulated Magnesium for Honeycombs; and Placer Gold or Slate Silver for Snowflakes. “All OER wheel paints are formulated to replicate the factory-original color, sheen, and texture,” according to the manufacturer. The price is $16.99 per 16-ounce can and $89.99 per case of six.
Crank it Up…Electronically
Electric-Life’s new Original Crank Handle Switch lets your classic Pontiac retain the look of manual windows, but hidden behind the window-crank shaft is an electric power-window switch. The switch is CNC-machined from military-grade Delrin, can be installed on reverse-polarity and straight power-window motors, and delivers up to 20 amps of power. It comes with a plug-and-play wiring harness. The price is $139 each.
Moisture Has Met Its Match
Pingi is an advanced-technology pocket-size dehumidifier that will keep your Pontiac’s interior protected from musty odors and mildew. Whether your Pontiac still has its brand-new smell or it’s a barn find, just put it in an inconspicuous space, such as under the passenger seat, and let it get to work pulling excess moisture from your car. An easy-to-read indicator alerts you when Pingi is full; then you can recharge it in your home’s microwave oven for use over and over. A 450g packet, which protects up to 900 cubic feet, is recommended. The price is $14.99.
