Vacuum-Induced Power
Looking for vacuum power that doesn't suck? If your street/strip Pontiac requires a smoother transition to the secondaries, Demon Carburetion has a product for your consideration. Geared for cars weighing 3,400 pounds and over, this new King Demon carburetor helps overcome hesitation or bogging during acceleration by employing secondary throttle plates activated by vacuum, and new metering circuits. Its vacuum pod has a quick-change spring to dial in the opening rate of the secondaries.
Available with removable or fixed venturi sleeves, this carb is designed to fit the 4500-series intake and can be had in sizes from 795 cfm to 1,095 cfm. Like other King Demons, there are many other design features that allow for precise tuneability. The King Demon with vacuum secondaries will cost you $1,157.45.

Corporate Guiding Light
Seemingly, one of the most difficult things to do on your Corporate-powered Pontiac should be the most simple--checking or changing the timing. You're dealing with what can be one of the darkest, dirtiest parts of your motor down by the balancer; and changing the timing while holding a timing light and trying to make sure the lead to the spark plug and the leads to the battery don't get severed by the fan generally involves feats of acrobatics.
But thanks to Proform and its self-powered timing light and tab, the job of using a timing light has been taken out of your hands--literally. This tab permanently mounts to the engine and contains a built-in, self-powered LED that receives its pulses when the included lead is connected to the No. 1 spark plug. This leaves you with a lot less to handle when checking or changing timing. Applications include small-block Chevys with a 2 o'clock tab mounting position for you corporate-powered Poncho fans. Cost is $79.90.

Get Your First-Gen Ragtop Bird Connected
Sure, bolt-in subframe connectors for First-Gen coupes have been available for years--not so convertibles. In fact, some have adapted connectors made for the coupe to the convertible in the past by cutting the floorboards and making other concessions. Finally, a set of subframe connectors has been developed to work on convertibles without compromises. Hotchkis can now give you a hand with stiffening the structure in your '67-'69 Firebird convertible. TIG-welded and gloss-black powdercoated, this design requires no floorboard alterations, and the front subframe remains removable thanks to the connectors' front bolt-in setup. The item number is 4008 according the company's Web site, and retail is $316.25. Hotchkis has connectors for coupes as well.
