This HP main body, found in every NASCAR Nextel Cup Winner, will update your Holley Double Pumper to a race-ready, 750-cfm, HP-style carburetor. Detailed instructions and all metering, baseplate, bowl, and bowl screw gaskets are included along with main jets to properly calibrate for street, strip, or racing. Price varies upon options.

Billet-Aluminum Master Cylinder
A new line of billet-aluminum master cylinders for GM cars has just been released by Stainless Steel Brakes Corp (SSBC). The dual-bowl design masters can be had in 1-inch and 11/8-inch bores for Pontiacs with four-wheel-disc brakes or the front-disc/rear-drum combination. They can be had for power and manual systems and are available with standard or short reservoir styles for tight applications. Tough Ring-And-Pinion Gears For Vintage Pontiacs
The '57-'64 Pontiac Super Tough ring-and-pinion gears are now available in high-quality 8620 alloy steel from Fabcraft Metalworks. They're made in the United States and are a direct bolt-in to the '57-'64 Safe-T-Track, with no ring gear spacer required. Available ratios include 3.42, 3.64, and 3.90:1. A New Intake From BOP Engineering
After an extensive development program, a new BOP Engineering intake is now available. It's a single, four-barrel, cast-aluminum manifold designed for max-effort applications. The new casting will be capable of fitting factory heads, Edelbrock heads (including wide ports), all Wenzler heads, including the Super Chief (with or without the Super Chief's cast in spacer), all KRE heads (including the new tall port), and the new All-Pontiac/DCI head (without the need for a spacer). The BOP intake has a Holley Dominator bolt pattern with a 1-inch spacer built in to provide flexibility to those who want it, and help with any rule issues regarding the use of spacers. Bosses for EFI and/or nitrous applications are also cast into the runners.
NSCA Champ Bruce Maichle and BES tested the BOP intake on a 515 IAII with Super Chief heads (see June '05 HPP for details on the engine). They report the engine made 1,015 hp baselined with a competitor's heavily ported single-plane manifold. With the port-matched BOP intake, they picked up an average of 30 hp and 20 lb-ft of torque over the other single-plane on a back-to-back test with no other changes. Even with these numbers, the horsepower peak moved up only 100 rpm. From 7,700 to 8,400 rpm, the engine used to fall off fairly quickly, but with the BOP intake, it reportedly held steady, making 40 more horsepower at 8,400 rpm.
